The painting cycles

The auroral creation of the feminine

The pictorial structure, always densely animated, is peopled by a serene colour that weaves a pure and energetic scaffolding, strong in its impalpability.
Teri’s painting lies in the wings of a butterfly: the density of the blues, the brightness of the yellows and whites, the softness of the greens and violets, the strength of the reds, the hardness of the blacks create a velvet cloth with captivating reflections, with evanescent and insistent glimmers.

Teri Volini is a sorceress who reads all possible beauty in the kaleidoscope of nature. The world is there to be sounded out and, like a water diviner, the artist fills the seabeds, the celestial spaces, the flowering lands with a virginal, harmonious musicality.

Volini’s work draws great support from her familiarity with poets, who often inspire it and give it substance.

Single works and single periods are not enough to sustain this world. The painter needs to move across great vaults, through great spaces, over great spans of time: in Cycles.

The Cycles have the breadth of her breath and the rightness of her expression.

And Volini moves within these dictates as in natural surroundings, from which the cycles and the performances take their cue, becoming Thread/actions.

For her expression, canvas, colour and drawing are no longer enough; Actions are needed, Ambient/actions, Activ/actions, Install/actions, the involvement of the public and the environment, of the public and of nature…
